your celebrity brand voice is
Serena Williams
Hey! I’m Nikki and I’m here to help you make sense of what this all means. Watch this short video and let’s have some fun!
Brand Voice: adventurous, authentic, strong, individualistic,
gritty, brave
Ready to get help showing up in a bigger way with your marketing and earning five-figure months?
She’s won more Grand Slam titles in women’s doubles, singles and mixed doubles than any other current player. And she’s known not only for her athleticism, but for her fearless fashion both on and off the tennis courts. Remember that Met Gala gown with the yellow Nikes?
Serena Williams has played and beat some of the world’s best tennis stars since the age of 14. No silver spoon here. She got her start learning to play on the public courts of the Compton neighborhood where she grew up.
She even shocked the world three months after winning one of those Grand Slams when she announced that she was preggers at the time. Now that’s one talented and tough mama! Ok, my uterus just hurt thinking about that one.
Now she also has a new clothing line, Serena, whose goal is “to amplify the inherent greatness of women with clothes that are unapologetic and beautiful – pieces that women feel confident in, that reflect their truest selves.” The brand’s hashtag #BeSeenBeHeard reflects her personal brand of making her voice heard in the tennis world and embracing her curves and competitiveness, unapologetically.
If your brand voice is like Serena’s, you — and your customers — are not
afraid of a little hard work or taking a few risks. Because you know that hard work pays off and you only want to offer your best to the world.
Following the status quo? What fun is that?
You are a leader and people follow you because people gravitate to strength.
But you also have an adventurous spirit. You like to take the road less traveled. Though it feels like air to you, that daring is not common for most.
Use your voice to inspire others to try something new and step into their greatness.
Trust what comes up and through you. And then let it come out. That will usually be the message that will resonate the most with your people — the ones you were meant to serve.
If it feels scary to click POST, then it’s probably exactly what you SHOULD post….even if you have to post it and then run!
Trust yourself. Do your due diligence and then… Take the risk. You’re ready for it. Serena and I are cheering you on.
How to Create and Execute Your Brand Voice in Your Messages and Communication (examples):
-
Be bold, but not brash
-
Be determined, but not forceful
-
Be action-oriented, while embracing the journey
-
Be authoritative, but motivational
-
Be courageous, but not reckless
1. Create a Pinterest Board.
Create a mood board that embodies your brand personality. Start collecting and pinning images, quotes, fonts, people, colors, photos, anything that inspires you and makes you feel the way you want your ideal customer to feel when they experience your brand. And the things you add to your mood board don’t have to be directly related to your brand. They just need to reflect the feel of the brand.
2. Choose your Brand Vibeology.
You should start to notice patterns and themes emerging from your mood board. Write down all of the words that come to mind when you look at your board. Using your mood board, your brand personality, and what you know about your ideal customer, pick 3-4 adjectives that best describe your brand and how you want people to feel when they interact with it.
3. Define Your Brand Voice Guardrails.
Just like we need markers on the road to keep us from veering off road, we need guides to keep us on track when we communicate to our audience. Now that you know the words you’d use to describe your brand voice, it’s time to make sure your messaging stays on brand. You can do that with a simple “This Not That” statement, like this: “We’re funny, but not sarcastic.”
Hi there,
I’m Nikki Bradley.
I’m a brand strategist, business coach, speaker, God girl, wife, mom, and closet dance diva. Well, maybe I haven’t done such a great job keeping that one a secret. I literally dance all the time. I’m talking jazz hands, 90’s rump shaking, pirouettes, chair tap dancing (yes, it’s a thing), or kitchen salsa dancing with my daughter…to all types of music. Seriously, my Apple Music looks like it belongs to 27 different people.
But what brings me joy every day is getting to help entrepreneurs like you do 3 things:
1) package their purpose and gifts into profitable products & services,
2) craft their unique marketing messages, and
3) show up as the biggest, baddest, dopest version of themselves so that they can serve more and sell more.
Now I’ll be honest, I did NOT have this figured out when I first started out. Even as a corporate sales and marketing executive who had worked with some of the biggest companies in the world, it took me a while to nail down my own voice.
But now, I help my coaching clients and students find theirs too so that they can stand out in their industry and start attracting more qualified clients that will actually pay them what they’re worth.
SO GREAT to meet you, but before we go any further…
It would be awesome if getting these quiz results were the ticket to making a radical shift in how you show up for your brand and BOOK ALL THE CLIENTS YOU WANT, but IF YOU NEED MORE…
